Revolutionizing Musculoskeletal Care in Ontario

Connecting Care, Empowering Patients, and Transforming Outcomes.

At Arthur Health, we are driven by a singular mission: to improve the lives of individuals living with musculoskeletal conditions by providing rapid access to high-quality, coordinated care closer to home.

Our Foundation

Our Journey: From Clinical Insight to Provincial Scale

Arthur Health was founded in 2017 by three academic orthopedic surgeons who witnessed firsthand the severe challenges patients faced navigating Ontario's fragmented musculoskeletal system.

Patients with persistent, unmanageable joint and spine pain were languishing on multi-month waitlists to see surgical specialists—even though the vast majority required standardized, conservative self-management education rather than surgery.

This clinical insight led to the development of Arthur CareNexus, an enterprise digital platform designed to operationalize the Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) model. In 2019, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Health and the University Health Network (UHN), we supported the province-wide rollout of the Low Back Pain RAC program, demonstrating quantifiable reductions in wait times and unneeded diagnostic imaging.

Building on this provincial success, Arthur Health is committed to expanding musculoskeletal RAC coordination across joint, spine, and extremity care pathways province-wide.

The Three Operating Pillars

1. Strategic Advising

Our advisory team leverages clinical registry data to help health systems uncover opportunities to reduce waitlists, curb diagnostic costs, and enhance patient satisfaction.

2. Operational Expertise

We operate, measure, and optimize proven value-based care delivery models in collaborative alignment with hospital hubs, Ontario Health Teams, and community clinics.

3. Enabling Technology

The Arthur CareNexus platform provides central triage, secure inter-provider messaging, automated appointment reminders, and real-time performance analytics.
